This one pours a definite reddish color. There was some haziness to the beer. It pours with a big head that drops to nothing almost immediately. There was some champagne-like fizzy carbonation that continued throughout. The nose is somewhat like a cherry pie, just not as sweet. It was sweet, sour and tart all at the same time. The taste was really nice. Cherries were the main component. They were somewhat tart, with some sweetness at the same time. Something of a medium malt body hiding back there. Very nice! If you had true Black Forrest cake you know what I am talking about. Lil touch of vanilla to balance thing out. Superb fruity aroma .Cherry like ruby appearance, bright white head. Medium sweet, true fruity feel .Very like my Grandpas cherries I loved to eat. Very rich, one of best if not the best fruit beer there is. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England

Soft texture, with a wonderfully lightly tart, soft, natural cherry sourness. Never candyish, always natural (except the aroma kinda smelled like lollypops or soemthing). Mix the cherrys in with some light oak and mayne some nuttyness. If i had one complaint it would be that its not assertive enough (more sour, more stink), but hey, the balance couldn’t really be any better right? Glad to share this with Ecz and Motelpogo. Re-rate: Lots o marzipan in the aroma, and i take away the thing about the lollypops in the aroma, this is just a wonderful beer, perfectly balanced between sweet and tart. Yummy. Hazy bright red with hints of orange. Head light tan with a faint hint of pink. nose very fresh and full of cherry, some faint earthiness and cocoa for a bit of depth. Flavor bursts with cherry goodness both tart and sweet, wonderfully fruity and tasty, tart and acidic. Bit toasty and nutty, like of like a pie crust. It’s just good. wheatbeerboy (100), Addison, Illinois, USA

Tastes like a lambic beer, wine & cherry soda all rolled into one. Perfect blend of sweet & tartness with a semi-dry finish on the palate. This brew has a wonderful cherry aroma and is very "rich" tasting. I wouldn’t want to drink this all of the time because it’s a little too heavy for me, but other than that this is an excellent and very unique tasting beer. Rutzicka (102), Switzerland

It has a fantastic almond and cherry aroma. Well-balanced, coffee, cherry and burnt almond flavor. Good acidity. Long, well-balanced aftertaste. NeonLX (258), Wisconsin, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 15, 2004 Cherries. It’s all about cherries. Overwhelming cherries. Immediately after popping the cap off the bottle, I got a strong whiff of, well, cherries. Once poured into a glass, the beer showed a cloudy reddish-brown with a foamy head. First taste is full-on, sour-sweet cherries, like the best possible cherry pie your grandma could make. The contrast between sweet and sour is amazing. Very smooth palate with "just right" carbonation. If I didn’t know better, I’d say this was a sparkling cherry wine, but with no detectable alcohol flavor. Goes down way too easily and leaves your tastebuds aching for more. Exceptional.
