bottle, pours hazy ruby red with a medium light tan head. HUGE cherry aroma with 7up and thin apple notes. Really nice sweet cherry and pale malts end tart again with cherry skin and maybe a little apple. This is so drinkable it’s not even funny. Tastes like a really good juice.

Big cherry aroma. Flavor is maraschino cherries, just a little tart to keep it from being overly sweet. A little oak and a little malt, but really a very simple flavor profile. Tasty.

750ml bottle. Pours a muddy red-brown with a small wispy head that leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet cherries, slightly tart with some wood.

The flavor is sweet yet tart cherries and wood with a dry slightly sweet finish. The mouthfeel is full and smooth with velvety carbonation.

Overall, it’s kind of one-dimensional (cherry!), but I liked this a lot.

Deep red pour with a small head. Strong cherry pie aroma. An amazing tart cherry flavor. Doesn’t taste like beer, but is still delicious, just like all of New Glarus’s fruit beers. I always pick up a couple bottles when I’m in Wisconsin.

Bottle. Poured amber purple in color with a small ring of bubbles. Aroma is sweet cherry, pixy sticks, lightly earthy. Tastes is fairly tart, tons of cherries and cherry pie filling, oak, and finishes fairly dry. I’ve had this a few times and have never been left down. Very nice.

Ruby red with a small off-white head that settles into a ring of lacings. The aroma has lots of dominating sweet cherries. The cherry aromas are rather candy-like (guess that’s what happens when you put so much cherries in the brew). Hints of grass and something in the line of cookies. Not a complex smell, and not very interesting, but my god does it smell like cherries. The taste is way better than the smell. Sweet cherries up front (the cherries are still candy-like but not as much as in the smell). Notes of sweet malts. A gentle but noticeable tart note develops and is really welcome since it levels the sweetness nicely and really balances everything. Notes of cookies and earth. The finish is nicely dry and light with grassy notes and chemical cherries. Not very complex, but still with enough hints of other things than cherries to make it interesting and most importantly tasty. Somewhat sticky in the mouth with a nice dryness in the finish. Medium body. A good beer. The taste is better than the smell, thankfully. Impressive flavors considering the low ABV. I could really see this one working well as a dessert or coupled with dessert. BOTTLE: pink/red pour with a foamy, fluffy pink head. Cherry pie on the nose, taste is sweet/tart cherry, soft carbonation, somewhat creamy. Excellent stuff, don’t get me wrong, however I would say somewhat overrated (ie. I wouldn’t put it in the top-50 in the world).
