Commercial Description:
Since the early 1600's, the Dutch have attempted to breed a pure black tulip. Many have tried and a few have come close...but none have succeeded. Call it the Holy Grail of the tulip world. In honor of this elusive flower we have brewed this special elixir. We have combined the finest Belgian malt, rare European hops, an authentic Belgian yeast and finally, the brew is dusted with tulip petals. The resulting blend is nothing less than magical.

Bomber: A wonderful citrus and floral aroma that comes off this brew at first, wheat, nicely spiced, yeast, and somewhat of a malt characteristic. Appearance is a cloudy golden orange with a thin white head that lingers around for a while. Taste is lightly malty, a bit of a roasted note on the back end, flowery and lightly effervecent. Aftertaste has a lingering roasted note and some citrus in there as well. Overall, Aroma was great, looks like a decent belgian trippel, but the taste and the palate leaves something to be desired. Cheers!

Light golden amber color. Nice lacing. Smells of apple, sweetness, and just a touch of alcohol. Not, very stong, but it is in there. Great malty flavor with caramel apples with a touch of bitterness at the end. A really well-balanced flavor. Mouthfeel is pretty thick and creamy. I really didn’t know anything about this beer before I rated it. Doesn’t hold up to a lot of good tripels, but it is an enjoyable, very drinkable beer.

22oz bottle-An orangish amber body with a small ring for a head and an aroma of belgian yeast, sugar, and coriander. Taste of this medium bodied brew comes across with sweetness, caramel, yeast , and honey. A nice tasting tripel but not one of the best.

Unfortunately, not one of the better Tripels I’ve had. I was expecting a lot more from the makers of Dragons Milk.....this beer tastes like tea, lots of tannic acid, and way too sweet. Very off balance, and not very good at all. Sorry, but I’m being honest.

The aroma was fruity with a citrusy orange presence and some Belgian yeast spice of clove and coriander with a bit of pepper. An underlying sweetness was notable of caramel and candy. The aroma was also earthy in nature. The beer poured into the glass lightly hazy golden with a wispy barely-there head which tried to leave traces on the glass. The flavor was malty with a moderate level of citrusy orange coupled with caramel and candy. The flavor was lightly earthy and very lightly spicy with pepper and clove. The finish was dry with lasting impressions of malt and light spice into the aftertaste. The body was medium-full with hardly any carbonation at all. A nice beer, easy to consume and without any presence of alcohol, but not much in common with a great tripel. 22 ounce bottle.

I really liked this Abby. Hazy gold in color and a fruity malty aroma is pleasant. Malty and trademark yeast are present when you taste it and it finishes with more fruit and a little hops too. Very well balanced.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a thin, but mostly lasting white head. The aroma is citrusy sweet malt with some herbs/spices and a little honey. The flavor is sweet malt and citrus with some apricots and peaches joining the mix. There is also an added kick coming from some herbs and spices. Medium bodied. Does a decent job covering the 9%.

Golden color, decent foam, nose is apple and pear with a little yeast, flavor is strong, big sweetness up front banana caremel, then corriander and clove. some belgian style hops on the finish, alcohol is definatly noticeable. kind of an odd astringent aftertaste. Had at beer bistro
