| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 23, 2006 Pours golden with a decent sized whitish head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a yeasty floral, not bad. Taste is slightly sour, can’t notice the alcohol. Decent sweetness comes through as it warms. mtdshn (174), Moline, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 21, 2006 Bomber. Poured a bright golden yellow (seriously looked like molten gold) that had a small amount of foamy head. No lacing. Scents of vanilla, malt, some floral notes as well. There’s a good amount of alcohol that is hidden until the end. Has a somewhat bright hop flavor and some banana esters. Not bad, but on the whole disappointing. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2006 Bomber. Poured a clear lighter golden with plenty of slowly-rising carbonation and a rather thick cap of white head.. some lacing followed it down. Nose was of extra-sweet floral, sour lemon zest, and clove-like spicage... enjoyed the floral presence. Very sweet in the flavor department, too, sporting candi sugar and bananas at the base.. surrounded by bitter grapefruit and pineapple, heavy floral, and spices... very good dry finish with sweet pineapple and floral. Alcohol was suppressed, providing a supportive spike as this crossed over to the back half of the palate. The light-ish body became thicker, almost syrupy toward the back. I have to say I enjoyed this one! jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2006 From a 22 oz. bomber bottle with blurb in back, no freshness date, sampled at a cooler cellar temperature, served in chalice.
Poured a cloudy golden orange with a foamy, bubbly topped white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing, minimal amount of laced sticking.
Aromas of honey covered apples and pineapple, sweet flowery and herbal hops.
Good even, steady carbonation and a crisp, dryish, velvety smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Great tripel taste, clove spiciness, apple sweet fruitiness, a nice honey grainy maltiness, lightly spicy and tasty herbal hoppiness, the alcohol is well masked and provides an easy flowing warmth in the palate, a pineapple fruitiness shows up towards the end and a dry earthy herbal and malty finish.
One of my personal favorites from New Holland, well worth trying.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 3, 2006 Draft - HUGE floral nose with a touch of malt and yeast. Cloudy gold body with a HUGE white head. Nice, complex flavor. Very floral and very nice. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

A big, firm, white head forms easily over this hazy, lemon yellow Triple. Nice sheets of lace form at the sides.
Tart, sour, lemon aroma.
A light sweetness lies underneath a big, tar,t citrusy bitterness that dominates this one’s flavor. Some dryness forms on the tongue after the second sip. Some alcohol. This has a bit more body than the average Triple, but not too heavy. JoshuaB (428), Detroit, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2006 Tap. Hazy yellow, with white creamy head. Nose is hoppier than expected, not flavorful hops however. Some lemon and citrus in there, along with yeast and grass notes. A bit sweet at first, then you are hit with a big bitter note. Finishes somewhat dry and sour. Interesting for the style to say the least. I did like the sour end note, but a bit too bitter. Would like some more malt in there. tennisjoel (951), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 14, 2006 Pours like a belgian yet not the huge head I’ve come to expect from the style. Cloudy golden color. Sweet aroma, candied sugar, banana esters, smells the part. Pretty nice flavors, they really jump out at you. I can tell there are some hops in this brew as well. I find this beer to have a very strong and enjoyable flavor...maybe I just haven’t rated a belgian in a while, but it seems like it should score better. Haven’t gotten to the bottom of this bomber yet, but after reading some other reviews, maybe it scores lower because of the lack of yeast sediment.
