Commercial Description:
Since the early 1600's, the Dutch have attempted to breed a pure black tulip. Many have tried and a few have come close...but none have succeeded. Call it the Holy Grail of the tulip world. In honor of this elusive flower we have brewed this special elixir. We have combined the finest Belgian malt, rare European hops, an authentic Belgian yeast and finally, the brew is dusted with tulip petals. The resulting blend is nothing less than magical.

Bottle poured a light-hazed amber without much of a head. Aroma of bananas, smoke and Belgian yeast, clove, wine & alcohol. Flavor of alcohol & spice. This performs adequately as a Tripel although the flavors don’t come across as well as the aromas do.

12z bottle. Clear and golden. Nose is apples and citrus. Sweet caramel and bread. Body has a lot of caramel and a lively yet dry note. Initial is sweet and smooth and bready, middle is floral, finish is dry and hoppy.

Light golden color with a small whit head. lots of banana, bread and candy surgar in the aroma. Light palate for a tripple flavors were typical tripple. Very Drinkable for a 9% beer though would consider drinking again

Thanks Indra! 12oz bottle. Served in a duvel tulip @ 55°. Golden color with a hazy, off-white head that grows with some swirling. The beer coats the glass and foam dots cling. The aroma reminds me of the 16% muscat wine that I had last night + some yeast; it is orangey, perfumy, vanilla, yeasty, mildly alcoholic, kinda spicy. I like the smell. The initial taste is honey/caramel with oranges, vanilla, and yeast followed by a spicy, alcoholic mid-taste with notes of yeast, citrus, and pears. The finish is fiery and spicy. Some tripels are more flavorful, but this is certainly tasty.

This offers an aroma of sourmash and yeast. It is a hazy- golden color with a minute head. This is a tangy yeasty tasting beer that is sour and bitter. It leaves a putrid after taste that leaves the drinker with tense facial muscles.

Hard apple cider highlights on top of a sweet caramel/toffee malt base, all floating on top of (and well-concealing) a substantial ABV. I really enjoy the interplay of fruity (apple/cherry) counterpoint over the somewhat more prosaic bassline (caramel and toffee maltiness) that together interweave into a composition of surprising complexity. I’ll rerate when I sober up!

Bottle, nice white head that fizzles out, no apparent lacing, golden yellow in color, get fruit in the aroma as well as some noticeable hops, Taste of fruit, and bread that almost turns into caramel. I get alcohol in the aftertaste. Not bad. This is the second time i’ve had this and liked it the first time too.
