Commercial Description:
Since the early 1600's, the Dutch have attempted to breed a pure black tulip. Many have tried and a few have come close...but none have succeeded. Call it the Holy Grail of the tulip world. In honor of this elusive flower we have brewed this special elixir. We have combined the finest Belgian malt, rare European hops, an authentic Belgian yeast and finally, the brew is dusted with tulip petals. The resulting blend is nothing less than magical.

Bottle: Lots of citrus in the aroma. Sweet and fruity. Lightly yeasty. Light alcohol. Pours a transparent light golden-orange. Not much of a head. Basically becomes a white ring quickly. Lightly sweet up front. Yeasty and relatively big hop finish. Alcohol definitely present. Burning and warming affect. Light yeast and alcohol in the aftertaste.

Nice hazy golden color with yeasty tripple aroma. Small head with a warming sweet and spicy taste. Smooth dry finish. not a bad tripple!

Nice, amber color and very clean and clear in appearance. The aroma is yeasty and banana-like. The head dissapates very quickly with little lacing. I enjoyed the flavor and feel, though it seems a bit light for a Tripel. I agree that the carbonation seems low and the alcohol is well hidden, but I certainly felt the warm, 9% glow in my stomach. It is somewhat syrupy, but not objectionable. I’d drink it again, but there are better Tripels in the US, not to mention Belgium. Interesting and pleasant for a 9% abv, but not as complex as I would have liked for a Tripel.

12 oz bottle: Hazy golden w/ a disappointing, thin, short lived white head. Not a lot of fizz in this one! Aroma is of bananas, plastic, & light herbal hop to start. Hints of peppery yeast, sweet corn & grainy malt. Flavor starts out bitter w/ an herbal hop flavor. Alcohol, & a bit of yeast spice. Malt is 2nd to hop flavor and has a bitter, dry finish and lasts into the lingering aftertaste. There is a light corn flavor w/ some sweet sugary flavor between start & finish. Carbonation is low for a tripel, medium bodied, and alcohol is well hidden: has a dry m/f. Very disappointing from a tripel standpoint. The plasticky aroma gets stronger as it warms(like a new plastic beach ball) and really takes away from the bland maltiness. I didn’t really care for this on at all.

Sorry, not a tripel. No head-somewhat syrupy and not complex. Didn’t care for it.

Light yellow color, medium sized pure white head. Aroma is slightly sour, yeasty, with honey. Flavor is rather mild, sweet, smooth, with honey, coriander. Hides its alcohol very well.

Lightly hazy golden. Light floral and estery aroma. Some yeast, as well as some vegetal character. This is a bit of a mess, I get a clanging sweetness, with a strong yeasty note. Wispy carbonation, slick (alcohol) mouthfeel. Not a ton of alcohol flavor, but this really does nothing for me.
