22 oz bomber. Pours a hazy orange bronze color with a small white-beige head. Aroma of caramel malts, raisins and plums. Taste is watery caramel malts, faint orange citrus and toffee. Alright, but not much going here.

Little bit of a chalky flavor with an organic feel at the end. I will probably not purchase again.

Thanks to Ohiodad for this one. Dark amber in color, Blue Goat throws up an average-sized light brown head that falls quickly. Decent beer, but overall it lacks the big malty aroma and flavor that bocks (and especially Doppelbocks) need to have in my book.

Good aromas of smoke, nuts and sweet malt. Cloudy brown color body with big tan head and moderate lacing. Flavor had the typical sweetness that seems to be overwhelming for me anyway. But this one the creamy head settled to a cover on top of body and equilized some of the sweetness to a tolerable level. Left a moerate sweet aftertaste on palate. Decent brew, thanks Craig.

Cloudy, rust with a thin head. Sweet carmel malts with mild floral aroma. Farily sweet with notes of carmel, nuts, and toffee. Smooth with a dry finish.

Pours a slightly hazy, deep intense auburn with fizzy soda-like head that rather quickly vanishes. Deep, malty caramel aroma with small hints of dried grain. Flavor is intensely sweet, caramely and malty with a slightly dry, gritty grain flavor that adds a nice earthy quality, though a very slight out-of-character sourness shows up as it warms, but it’s not prevalent enough to ruin the flavor.. Seriously sweet, virtually no hop presence. Mouthfeel is surprisngly "medium" and yet a cloying sweetness hangs around for a long time. This is a pretty competent doppel; I don’t get why it’s rated so low here.

Bomber. Poured a clear, murky reddish-brown with just a couple large bubbles for head and some rising carbonation. I really enjoyed the aroma.. sweet, lightly-smoked caramel, buttery raisins, and some herbal and woodsy accents. Unfortunately the flavor did not come across so well... watery caramel with overt alcohol spikes and unpleasant nutty notes.. some dark fruit in there, but it just didn’t flow... tacky, rather sharp finish. This just didn’t work.
