Thick beige head, deep copper/red colour. Scents of sweet caramel, butter, raisin. tastes very similar to its scent. Smooth, goes down easy. A solid beer.

A dark caramel brown beer that pours smooth with a nice wheat colored head. Nice and sweet with a strong raisen finish. A nice beer to finish a tough day.

(bottle - 22 oz) Light brown in color with a light tan head. Aroma is very light and malty with some vegetable notes as well. Flavor is very, very light and weak. Not a whole lot of flavor really, but what I could taste was light malts and some caramel. Alcohol was hidden well and finished clean. Not bad but could just use more flavor.

pours clear dark red with a small fizzy off-white head. Aroma is complex, heavy malt, cookies, carmel, leather, and hints of dark fruits and some vinilla esters. Flavor starts well balanced with nice carmel flavors, finishes a bit more sweet with a clean short finish. medium bodied, creamy softly carbonated, very nice. Every sip has me begging for more NICE!

A dissappointing doppelbock by an American Brewer, not the first by any means. Pours reddish brown with a minimal off-white head that would lace the glass a touch. Super malty aroma with a note of chocolate, pretty one dimensional. Very sweet taste with an inexplicable sourness. Pretty far from what you’d expect in a doppelbock. A bit watery and thin in the mouth, bitterness lingers faintly. They missed the boat.

22 oz bottle. Clear dark amber with a creamy white head and thin lace patches. Caramel, light malts and mocha. Coffee with cream and sugar, light carb, medium light body. Minimal aftertaste. Seems weak.
