Very dark brown pour and few ruby highlights. This Christmas ale has a very sweet and spicy nose. The sweetness carries through into the flavor...dark fruit, think dates and plums. The sweet caramel, brown sugar, and toffee also carries some spicy notes like nutmeg and cinnamon. Very nice seasonal drink, with a very winter warmer-like quality. Just a bit too sweet for me to repeat very often.
