Commercial Description:
Robust in character yet smooth in delivery, Cabin Fever is a roasty brown ale and a hearty, comforting companion for long, mind-bending winters. Its rye, roast and raisin notes play off a subtle caramel sweetness and culminate in a dry finish. Excellent with roasts, stews, caramelized onions and snowfall.

A really dark brown ale. Really dark. Aromas of raisin, chocolate, currant and straw. Tasting confirms the profile and also contributes a nutmeg/cinnamon spicing. Round edges on this beer with a quiet malt chocolate finish.

Bottle. Pours with a small, light brown head with excellent lacing. Dark brown body color. Aromas of molasses, toffee, citrus, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Creamy and slick texture with an average duration of flavor. Very smooth beer and excellent aftertaste. Must purchase!

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into an English Pint. Sight: Pours a carmelish color and finishes pretty dark when beer is set. A small creamy white head. Smell: Fantastic smells of caramel. Taste: Not a very strong flavor, but a taste of caramel and a small hint of hops. I have enjoyed this beer before when drinking casually, but it is not as exciting now as it was the first times I have had it. Probably because I am paying more attention to it when I am rating it. Overall it is a pretty good beer, a good price, and is drinkable at any time. Not a very strong beer.

Very dark brown pour. Aroma of caramel, toffee, and spice. Flavor is interesting: lots of vanilla and wood notes along with the roasty malt. Maybe a bit of lactose too. Mouthfeel is fine. I’m not sure I could drink a six pack of these, but one is nice.

Near black (dark dark dark brown) pour with descent light tan head. Flavor is great – smoke, roasted malt, vanilla, dark fruits, etc. Full medium body with minimal carbonation and soft mouth feel. Overall: great stuff.

Deep brown coloured body with a nice dense tan head. Aroma of nuts, malt, toffee and a strong amount of spice - very nice! Medium-bodied; Assertive maltiness with a good amount of sugars, tucked in with some chocolate and a tiny bit of fruit. Aftertaste mellow and robust at the same time - nice! Overall, a good brown and much better than most from the style! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchsaed from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 25-November-2008, sampled a day later at home in Washington.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a pretty decent medium sized head. Aroma is cream, roasted malts, and caramel. Flavor is caramel, roasted malts, coffee, and a slight note of chocolate. A pretty good brown ale for a cold night.
