Commercial Description:
Robust in character yet smooth in delivery, Cabin Fever is a roasty brown ale and a hearty, comforting companion for long, mind-bending winters. Its rye, roast and raisin notes play off a subtle caramel sweetness and culminate in a dry finish. Excellent with roasts, stews, caramelized onions and snowfall.

thanks to styles for the 12 oz. bottle. pours a medium brown with a hint of a reddish tint, very small and very short lived khaki head. aroma is malty sweetness with just a bit of spice. flavor is about the same, malty sweetness with some spices. while not too exciting of a beer, definitely sessionable and enjoyable.

ON tap at the North End Market in Hudson, Ohio on 2/16/2008. Clear dark brown, medium tan head with good durability. Caramel dominates the aroma, some fruitiness, and a mild hop spiciness as well. Medium body and carbonation, and a soft chewiness. Malt flavors dominate as expected, with just enough bittering coming on at the finish. A nice drinkable, sessionable brown ale.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color with a nice amount of head. The aroma was that of toffee, nuts and a hint of coffee. The flavor was very good. Sweet but not too sweet...roasted by not too roasted...a very good brown ale. One I would definately drink again.

Aroma is toasty, biscuity. Flavor is more nutty, but has a toasty malt character about it. It has a sweetness that makes it stand out, and it doesn’t come off as a shrewd alcohol sweetness either (although that could be what its from). I think its a little unique for a brown, but a little on the thin side, which ive found typical of the style. Definitely purchase again when im in the mood for a brown ale. Good job New Holland.

Courtesy SoLan. Purs a dark brown, with a smallish white head. Pretty simple aroma. Some light malty caracters and maybe some dark fruit. Not much else. The flavor had a big dose of malty sweetness and a little nuttiness. Maybe a bit too sweet, but still flavorful. Solid little brown ale.

Pours deep brown with reddish hues and mostly receding tan head. Aroma of nuts, brown sugar, toffee. Taste has notes of nuts, chocolate malt, dark bread. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate to lively carbonation. Pretty nice brown ale.

dark brown poor with small beige head and decent lacing from a the 12 oz bottle, this brown ale is a solid offering with a nice roasted, nutty flavor but just a bit to much bitterness at the end keeps this from being exceptional. still, good beer
