Pours a very dark colour and contains a mouthful of dark roasty flavours. Can really taste the bourbon on your lips but doesn’t harsh you away. A great beer for after dinner! blklab2007 (955), Connecticut, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 4, 2009 Smells malty with notes of roasted barley and chocolate malt. Pours dark, but not exceptional with thin white head. Taste is nicely balance with coffee, carmel, chocolate, and oak. Could use a little more body, but enjoyable over all. tarheels86 (731), Washington DC, USA

Thought I tried the oak aged version (listed separately on this site), but seems like Dragon’s Milk is always oak aged so I’m rating this version. Pours a dark brown with some ruby highlights topped by a thin, creamy, tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate (perhaps more so than any other beer I’ve rated to date), Bailey’s Irish Cream, bourbon, oak. Taste is similar with loads of creamy milk chocolate, a spicy bourbon alcohol bite, vanilla ice cream, and a dry, oaky finish. Really just an awesome beer. markwise (1175), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA

Thoroughly enjoyable medium-bodied stout. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA
