Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

I was disappointed. Solid dark pour with good head and lacing. My glass had definite herbal undertones and eventually figured out it reminded me of Jagermeister.

Rich black-brown with tan head clinging to cup. Aroma bursting with chocolate brownies. The flavors do not veer far from the brownie experience. Nice palate. Surprisingly little barrel character but still a great beer.

Black with dark tan head, very carbonated. Aroma is nice mild chocolate accented with bourbon. Taste is light chocolate with a touch of vanilla and even, imagine, milk. A note of butter, too. Not too rich, but not watery, either. Highly drinkable flavor and little bitterness.

Dragon’s Milk is the New Holland Brewing Company Brew of choice for myself and the gang. Smells of Oak and roasted malt are present right from the start. Taste of oak, roasted malts and bourbon, goes down smooth, Another Please...
