Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

Very dark brown pour with a tiny little head atop it. Smell is light malt. Flavor is decent - malty and roasty. No big or bold carbonation - a hint thin. Overall, I am just not really getting this one. It isn’t bad by any means, but it just doesn’t really rock my world.

Pours a light cola like brown, no head. Aroma: oak, bourbon, chocolate, caramel, and pine. Smooth creamy caramel, chocolate, spice and whiskey. It’s a great roller coaster of flavors but then mellows into a nice well balanced finish. Palate is a bit watery but tasty.

Poured from pint bottle into glasses. Sweet mild chocolate and molasses beginning that moves into a coffee with a smooth woody flavor then finishes bitter and with strong alcohol taste.

Aroma is all vanilla. Tons of the stuff everywhere. Fortunately the taste is heavy on caramel malts and dark fruits, rotten and fully fermented like. The vanilla creeps into the flavor on the swallow, corrupting the caramel malt that is delicate on the tongue. If that vanilla were gone this would be a great beer, but god it’s there and it’s terrible.

Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is malty and slightly sweet. Taste is creamy and malty with a taste of vanilla from the oak. Very interesting.

Draft pout from Flying Saucer. Deep dark, almost ruby brown coloring. Roasted chocolate and coffee aroma. Creamy, silky smooth mouthfeel with roasted malty tastes with hints of oak, vanilla, and a bare glimpse of dark cherry. HInts of bourbon in the finish, what a fantastic beer.
