Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

Thanks to Darren for bringing this one to Dmac’s. Pours out black with a thin fading white head. Not much on the aroma, maybe a little sweetness and earth overall a rather weak aroma. Taste however makes up for the lack of aroma. Complex yet very smooth, nice earthy notes blend with some chocolate, roast and earthy oak flavors. Very creamy mouthfeel, and dangerously drinkable. Solid

Poured dark brown/black with a thin head. Smell of oak, and roasted coffee and smoke. Very stout-like in aroma and flavor, not much like an ale. Taste was lightly sweet and bitter, with creamy palate. Good beer.

Pours a dark brown with a diminishing off-white head. Smells of caramell and toffee. Very sweet with toffee aromas. Some alcohol notes. Also hints of toasted, sugared almonds. Very full bodied. Long toasted. nutty finish. Good.

Pours very dark brown to black with a thin head. This beer smells much like a stout with roasted malt and some chocolate notes. There’s also a hint of vanilla. The flavor is dark roasted caramel malts with coffee and chocolate in there. Full bodied and creamy with enough hops so satisfy.

22 oz bottle. Dark black no head. Nose is light, a bit alcoholic with a slight alcohol, bourbon nose. taste has a moderate bourbon background, with a smooth, milky, body. Overall body is a bit thin which rates this beer lower than it should be.

22oz bottle Pours out a very dark brown almost black topped with atanhead. A very nice aroma of wood, nuts, and some sweetness. Tast of nuts a little vanilla and some sweet chocolate. A very tast treat. Thanks to my good friend Y AKA the MULE for picking this up at New Holland Brewing Company and flying it back to Boise.

Liter bottle from Three Sons after tasting held there. A really nice beer. deep port color with odors of fisch and plums and a little smoke. And yes Bourbon also. Fair carbonation and an avelanche of flavors, from pums and chocolatre and wine and sweet malt lingering long after. On draft at Magoos, really full moth with lots of chocolate and cgherrries

Pours dark brown, almost black. Adequate head. Smells like a milk stout to me. Malt, cream, a touck of chocolate. Hints of bourbon, with good malt flavor. Vanilla, coffee, and maybe a caramel note or two. Pretty good for the price, and very drinkable for the ABV.
