Roasted malt, almost burnt, with undertones of dark chocolate and coffee. Burnt malt body with an almost sweet chocolate and espresso finish with some dark dried fruit and oak in there as well. Much more complex than my last bottle. GonZoBeeR (2161), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

Big oak aroma followed by chocolate malt, caramel, cooked brown sugar and hints of vanilla. Very nice. The body is dark brown with a wispy tan head. Fairly toasty/roasty flavor profile with lots of chocolate, vanilla, oak, coconut and caramel. Comes off very strong porterish. Tasty! Silphium (2137), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2003 2003 bottling. Finally, the Dragon's Milk is back! Poured a dark chestnut brown, with a reddish tint, and a tan ring of carbonation lacing the sides of the glass. Aroma was rather porter-like, with roasted malts predominating. Flavor was similar to the aroma, with roasted malts at the beginning of the sip, followed by strong wood flavors and tanginess. Finishes creamy, with a touch of dry fruit. Very smooth. Could be a bit more complex for such a high ABV beer. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 18, 2006 Bottle. Pours a dark mahogany body with a creamy yellow-brown head. Interesting aroma for the most part - vanilla, oak, and caramel. Stranger flavour that is creamy, nutty, and has permeations of woody earthiness. zach8270 (2110), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is a lot of butter, caramel, oak, and some chocolate malts. Flavor starts very smooth and malty with a nice buttery middle and a smooth and lightly sweet finish. One word describes this beer. Smooth. Finishes smoother than any beer I’ve ever run across.
