Bottle thanks to Daniel. Pours a dark brown/red color with a large light-brown head. The aroma is very nice; lots of roasted notes, some chocolates, some woody aspects also. The taste is excellent; initially sweet malts, milky and thick roasted malt flavors, some sweet chocolates, and some light and earthy wood flavors in the finish. Very easygoing, and hardly hot at all. Very decadent and extremely milky. Some alcohol present, but overall, a very quaffable brew. Very enjoyable. GG (1678), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 1, 2008 Very nice beer here, and big thanks to mmm///beer for shipping it too me. If I didn’t know better, I would say this was very close to a stout or porter. The chocolatey aroma, rum raisins, figs, bourbon and molasses are all accentuated by the wood. A great looking beer in my Maudite glass, it does carry some deep garnet colors on the edges when held up to a bright enough light. A thick 3-finger light tan camp kept the beer under wraps. The flavors had the nice complexities that a good stout/porter can have. Chocolate, molasses, roasted malts, bourbon, dark fruits, oak....very nice beer. But an English Strong Ale? Let’s just call it good. NachlamSie (1655), Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2006 bottle. Pours an extremely dark plum with a tan head. Swirling the snifter leaves a film which takes several minutes to recede. The aroma is very vinous. It’s strong of raisins, cinnamon, a bit of oak, predominantely a semi-sweet wine aroma. This is very interesting. It has a remarkable likeness to red wine but mixed with some more beery notes like chocolate and fresh barley. The finish is semi dry. I personally haven’t tasted anything like this before. I could certainly imagine drinking this winter warmer in colder weather than the intense 90+ degrees TN summer. Butters (1654), Virginia, USA

Aroma notes of anise, raisin, and alcohol. Nice roasty flavors, oak, dark rum soaked fruits, molasses. Very tasty brew. Exactly what I imagine dragons milk to taste like. Great name.
