Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

750 ml. bottle. Deep, almost balck, ruby pour that produces a creamy tan head that develops qucikly and subsides almost as fast. Unmistakable oak aroma up front, but given adequate support by burnt caramel, vanilla, and even a twinge of pepper. Smooth lightly carbonated mouthfeel that yields a ;asting richness - very nice. Brown sugar sweetness is quite dominant, some light spicy bitterness come in for balance.

New Holland’s best to date. A super complex, creamy, buttery, caramelly, butterscotchy old ale. It’s best out of a 10oz. jar at the brewery.

Bottle sort of thanks to Timmy300. Pours a deep brown, almost black. Nose is rich and syrupy with the vanilla definitely coming through. 4mths on oak will definitely do that to a beer. I got a lot of roastiness from the malts as well as a distinct bitterness. Nice full body. Tasty stuff.

Assertive aroma of dark fruit, oak, and roasted malt. Stout-like in color with a beautiful khaki head. Flavor is a bit sweet for me but warms the belly nicely. Thin body improves the drinkability. Thanks to polomagnifico for the bottle!!!

2009 Bottle - Thanks BrewCzar - Pours a thin black with a small tan head...aroma is massive oak, vanilla and booze...flavour is similar, dry, oaky, vanilla...some tart oak, but the finish is creamy and sweet...great brew!

There is a roasted aroma with bourbon undertones to the beer. The color is a deep a rich black with a decent tan head. The flavor has a chocolate and vanilla character with a slight hint of bourbon. The finish on the palate is smooth.

Crushed with Jakebra. Malty, maybe some liquorice on the nose. Dahk pour, very very thin. Too thin for this guy, aight? but the flavor is definitely there and makes this beer drinkable.
