Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

Very dark, very smooth. The bourbon flavor is not overly evident, just a slight undertone. Went down very easy. Too easy. I could get into troble with this beer.

Part of my 17 Beer Sampler at the Brew Kettle. Draught: Pours a very dark brown with slight tan head. Very roasty and malty but also with a slight hop kick in the aftertaste, kinda bitter on one side but also kinda smooth on the other, very complex beer.

Aroma of Jim Beam. Thin black pour, thin tan head. Tasteful bourbon flavor, not insistent, with horehound and roasted malt on the edges. Oaky prune finish. Considering I’m not a bourbon fan, I’m not crazy about it, but it’s certainly palatable even for me. I appreciate how well crafted it is.

big bottle. Body is pretty black, with small brown head. Aroma is a strange sort of not bitterness, but roast. The taste is actually sweet. Some chocolate and dark fruit.

Bottle courtesy of sebletitje. Pours a clear dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, and oak. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and well hidden alcohol. Very good.

Bomber. Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma of chocolate, dark malt and bourbon. Tastes like chocolate with a bit of lactic, bourbon and oak. I noticed vanilla as it warmed. Warm. Heavy bodied. Would make a great winter-warmer. Too bad it’s 90° today.

Poured a dark brown color with a tanish color head left okay lacing. Aroma was of coffee, vanilla some oak. Tasted much the same with some roastedness. Had a nice warming ness to it

Very dark brown pour with a tiny little head atop it. Smell is light malt. Flavor is decent - malty and roasty. No big or bold carbonation - a hint thin. Overall, I am just not really getting this one. It isn’t bad by any means, but it just doesn’t really rock my world.
