Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

Bomber. Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma of chocolate, dark malt and bourbon. Tastes like chocolate with a bit of lactic, bourbon and oak. I noticed vanilla as it warmed. Warm. Heavy bodied. Would make a great winter-warmer. Too bad it’s 90° today.

Very dark brown pour with a tiny little head atop it. Smell is light malt. Flavor is decent - malty and roasty. No big or bold carbonation - a hint thin. Overall, I am just not really getting this one. It isn’t bad by any means, but it just doesn’t really rock my world.

Location: 22 oz Bottle from Norm’s

Aroma: The nose makes you think of a bourbon stout, and thats kinda what it tastes like.
Appearance: Poor is almost black, thin head.
Flavor: Lots of flavors melded together: oak, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, and malt.
Overall Impression: I give them high marks for the creative and meshing of flavors, but I didn’t love it the way most others seem to have.

Rated 1/5/07: Well blended ale, this one is smooth and delicious. Pours dark like a stout with a creamy off white head, nice lacing and retention. Aroma is a light mix of coffee, mild chocolate, and some caramel. Rich and ever so smooth mouthfeel, this one has a soft finish that is remarkable. Flavor is exceptional nice mix here of lightly roasted malt with bitter coffee and milk chocolate. After a while I could taste a nice helping of vanilla along with some very mild hops. There is barely a hint of the high abv which helps to make this smooth and drinkable. What a nice treat indeed.

22 oz bottle (2005 I assume). No label, but silk screen like stone uses. Pours deep walnut color with a wispy head and light lacing. The aroma is interesting. Malt, chestnuts, maple and milk chocolate all came to mind at one point or another. A bit thick though, and a bit cloying. The flavor is enjoyable with sweet malt, molasses, and a lightly sharp hint that I could not place. There are light hops that give it a bit of balance but there is clearly more of a malty dominance. Slick and smooth body. I liked this more than the last malt forward beer I tried. More enjoyable flavors for me and noticeable hops, though this is a malty experience.

Pours a ruby black with no head. Aroma of wood, malts, and alochol. Malts, vanilla, and wood make up the flavor. A very nice beer!

Pours dark brown with tanish offwhite head. Aroma is boozy toffee and butterscotch. Aroma is sweet caramel, white chocolate, bit of plums, and a nice boozy warmth undertone. Overall, very enjoyable.
