Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

sweet malty aroma, wood, grass, hay, and bourbon. flavor pretty much the same...a very sweet beer with a hint of alcohol and the strong wood and bourbon aftertaste. a slightly acidic character to it, especially after the sweetness wears off the aftertaste, and it leaves a sour residual behind.

22oz bottle shared by TheCaptain. Thanks Mark. Very dark ruby red color with a creamy beige head. Huge gusts of oak and vanilla waft up from the glass. The taste has the aforementioned oak and vanilla along with some toffee and bourbon. Nicely balanced.

Poured with a creamy, frothy, foamy, light tan head that lasts with lots of lace. Great roasty, malty, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, and the claimed whiskey aroma. Taste was similar but also a dairy cream taste and mouth feel along with distinct alcohol. Very pleasant finish. Just put on draft today at Bodega downtown La Crosse. They have bottles too.

22oz. bomber. One of the best looking beers ive seen with a sticking head and great lacing. The aroma began with a wonderful choclate, vanilla, and fruits and by the end it was alcohol and bourbony. At the first taste, I was a little unsure. The taste did not seem to match the aroma at all. I got a chemical metallic flavor, but as it warmed it definitely improved exponentially. By the end it tasted more like a red wine or bourbon than a beer. The flavor tasted a little sour but it was a good sour that added to the flavor.

Woody, slightly acidic, malty with vinous undertones detected in aroma. Slightly thin palate, lingering apple/pear flavor. Malty flavor with medium smokiness. Not incredibly exciting but not bad.

A beer that simply looks powerful, with a very dark brown, almost black color, and light tan head. Aroma has some dark fruits among other things. Flavor is really quite good, bringing in some chocolate and coffee flavors. Has a somewhat creamy smoothness as well. Really a very nice brew.

Jet black pour. Smells like ice cream, oak, vanilla, toffe, caramel, some earthy hops, toasted grain. Flavor is much the same with a more pronounced wood flavor and booze. Awesome beer.

Loved it. Dark brown almost black with a small tan head. Nice aroma of chocolate, vanilla, bourbon. Flavor is similar with wood coming through. Very smooth finish. My first thought was whoa, this is gonna be good.
