Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

22oz bottle (listed as 9% abv) - Very dark ruby red color with big tan head. Aroma is creamy, chocolately, with a hint of vanilla and cherry, molasses and smoke. Flavor is malty, nutty, creamy, hint of oak and smoke. Finish is slightly sweet.

Very dark chestnut, slight fizzy head, sporadic lacing. Tons of vanilla, pecan pie, caramel in the nose and flavour -- almost too much, making it not very balanced. Milky and thin, akin to chocolate Yoo Hoo. Slightly sourish aftertaste. Great tasting if over-the-top.

Pours a deep dark brown with a beige head. The aroma is strong in a lactose milk scent but with accents of oak and roasted grain. A very smooth mouthfeel, almost like coming straight from a dragon’s nipple. A roasted and sweet creamy flavor accompanied by chocolate. Oak flavor really comes out as the beer warms.

I thought this would be good, but it wasn't really. It may have been 10.5%, but it smelled and tasted of Captain Morgan's rum, which is a fairly shitty rum. As Silphilium points out, this was not a complex brew.

Serving: 22 oz. bottle. Appearance: Very dark brown with garnet highlights and a foamy, tan head. Aroma: Alcohol, oak, coffee, chocolate, and a little bourbon note. Taste: Good doses of oak and bourbon but they quickly leave, covered by chocolate and vanilla. More oak comes at the end. Pretty tasty! Mouthfeel: medium-low, soft carbonation with a medium-rich body and a dry mouthfeel. Overall: I would actually like a little less oak in this one. Still, a pretty decent stout! Rebuy: Probably not. I am glad I tried it and recommend giving it a go, but I am on to better brews.

Courtesy Dragonstout. This one poured a deep brown color with a small tan head that left minimal lacing behind. The aroma is of dark chocolate, bourbon, roasted malts, and some oaky smells as well. The flavor is much the same with the chocolate and roasted malts up front with some hop bitterness on the backend. The vanilla and oak flavors add balance and depth. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and creamy that is easy drinking with a dry, warming finish from the oak and alcohol. This one is really well done, and I hope to try it again.

Rich and deep, oaky, nose with ripe fruits and a smooth, mellow, charcoal whiskey tone. Big time malt presence, alcohol, of course, as well as some hints of chocolate. really dark body, just a hint of burnt dark brown around the edges. Almost no head. WOah, tasted citrucy and sour, not what I expected. Acidic and alcoholic, very clean and a bit dry. Pretty complex malt character, some ripe berries hiding in there too, perhaps. Chocolatey and roasted on the finish, just a bit watery and thin. A bit of a port wine character to this solid brew.
