Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

Dark walnut color with a medium beige head and nice lacing. The aroma has a light smoke character, along with sweet malt and hops. Medium-bodied with a nice oak undertone. There is a nice mixture of toasted malt, smoke, bourbon and muted hops. The finish is rather short and mildly sweet. Doesn’t quite live up to the cool name, but enjoyable all the same.

Coffee, dark chocolate and alcohol greet the olfactories, dark brown, has a tiny tan head. Some wood has imparted to the flavour, perhaps even, whiskey barrel? An appreciated smokiness to the malt as well. Full bodied, bitter as can be. Great! Thanks mds.

Yet another awesome bomber brought by the Kevster, Thanks again.

It has a dark brown pour and little in the way of a head. The aroma is sweet with caramelized malts, pine hop sweetness, lactose, caramel candy and alcohol. For the taste a bit of alcohol hits first then sweet malts, caramelized malts, sizable pine hop bitterness, roasted malts and hints of lactose all round out the flavor. The finish has a growing alcohol sense but not in a hot way at all. Along with that I get roasted maltiness and hints of dark fruitiness well into the finish.

OBF 2008. Smooth and creamy palate. Pours black with a smooth tan head. Chocolate up front, milky and soft, with a woody earthy finish. Slightly boozy in the finish.

Nice aroma of chocolate, wood, vanilla, a touch of coconut, bourbon, and sweet darker malts. Pours a dark brownish color with a thin bubbly head and some reddish undertones. Nice sweet dark malts, chocolate, light bourbon and oak, and nice vanilla sweetness. Lightly carbonated, and seemingly a little thin. I enjoyed the sweetness and BA characteristics of this one.

Rich black-brown with tan head clinging to cup. Aroma bursting with chocolate brownies. The flavors do not veer far from the brownie experience. Nice palate. Surprisingly little barrel character but still a great beer.

22oz. Bottle: Aroma of malts, roasting, chocolate, bourbon, and oak. Poured very dark brown in color with a small tan head that diminished quickly. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of roasted malts, cream, chocolate, coffee, dark malts, oak, and salt. Medium body. Thinish dry texture. Soft carbonation. Sweet, dry, malty finish.

Black, or at least very, very dark brown. sloppy tan head. chocolate ice cream aroma. Initial flavors are winey, dryish, with big notes of cherry. Enjoyable "burnt toast" flavors throughout. Note of molasses pop up, as well. Very tasty - Thnaks to Springslicker for sharing this one!
