Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

Bottle served in a pint glass. Pours brown with a large light brown rocky head with a head that is mostly diminishing but some very good lacing. The aroma is of caramel and a slight hint of oak. Takeing a drink all I can say is wow. Caramel malts, along with molasses and a slight nuttyness, with a subtly oakyness. There is also some butter and butterscotch. The body is full with a creamy texture and soft carbonation.

Probably one of the best strong ales I’ve ever tried. Pours a very dark colour and contains a mouthful of dark roasty flavours. Can really taste the bourbon on your lips but doesn’t harsh you away. A great beer for after dinner!

The iceman and I had this fine brew and damn is it delicious. It is definitely strong but not overpretentious in taste. Bourbon overtones are present but it has a smooth and complicated finish. Truly another fine beer from Brett Vanderkamp ant NHB!!

Nice frothy beige head, well carbonated and not syrupy. Pleasing malt aromas and flavors make this seem more like a milkshake than a beer. Very satisfying, rich, and delicious.

Hmmm, ive rated this before, so why is my rating gone. Good thing wunder hooked me up with another sampling of this fine brew. Muddy reddish color with a hint of purple. Has a dirty washy looking head. Huge bourbon aroma dominates over dark fruit and sweet brown sugars. Starts off with a cherry bite, then it tastes just like a licked the inside of a rubber glove. The after tastes is very similar to that of a shot of vodka. Watermelon bubble gum also makes a presence. Very complex, lots going on here, excellent beer that keeps interest high.
