Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

starts off with a great name and doesn’t dissapoint with its taste. Great caramel flavor. A very different style of ale but very good. The 9% abv is also very surprising it is well disguised. All and all very good with many thanks to Tom @ Union Jack’s

Pours clear and dark red/brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is heavily malty; dark bread, grain, and rosted malts. Lightly hoppy of pine, and lightly yeasty of cherrys and oak. Flavor is well balanced and complex, roasted malts, oak, carmel. with a nice lighter average finish. Medium to full bodied, creamy and softly carbonated. Awesome!

Loved it. Dark brown almost black with a small tan head. Nice aroma of chocolate, vanilla, bourbon. Flavor is similar with wood coming through. Very smooth finish. My first thought was whoa, this is gonna be good.

Bottle: First off let me preface this by saying that I’ve had this brew multiple times, draft and bottle, and finally have gotten around to rating it. Even though there is no date on the bottle, I believe this is a fresh one. This is so much more balanced than I ever remember it being. Dark brown pour with a minimal, white head. Dark roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla and subtle oak aroma...not much bourbon. Medium-full bodied mouth feel, very creamy throughout. The flavor pretty much emulates the nose, again with a very subtle oak characteristic that is much more enjoyable than it has been previously. If this is where this brew’s headed from now on, I’m going to buy up as much as I can.

On tap regularly at Vintage Estates in Boardman, OH. Very smooth and sweet with a dinomite finish. My fiance’s favorite beer.

Bottle. Poured a dark mahogany with a sparse beige head that quickly disappeared. Aroma of oak vanilla and chocolate. Flavor was chocolate, sweet malt and oak. Body was too weak for this beer, but otherwise it is a masterpiece.

Very dark. Pourse with a nice tan head and leaves a big eye of lace. Smells and tastes of vanilla and chocolate. Nice and creamy, heavy in the mouth. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I purchased this, but I’m glad I did. I’d definately drink this again.

The nose is a very nice smokey vanilla.Pours very dark with a small head. Taste is good.Smokey ,roasty, dark chocolate, and the body is a bit lighter than i would have liked. Still this is a very tasty ale.
