Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

A knock your socks off brew. Just when I was getting tired of the same old New Hollands, they surprise me with a bunch of new beers including this gem.

Thanks to marinaro500 for sharing this excellent beer. Red amber color in the snifter with an off-white oil slick for a head. The nose has hints of oak and alcohol that reminded me of my Mom’s Aquanet hairspray. Surprisingly easy to drink for the ABV. Vanilla, oak and dark fruit flavors all combine for a great flavor. I hope to see more of this beer. Very enjoyable big beer.

Very dark, opaque, anise all over with dark fruits, roasty, medium bodied, very drinkable and smooth. My wife says that this is probably something like Indiana Jones was drinking at the bar in one of those movies.

Draught at Delilah’s, Chicago. Faint aroma, although it is clear there is something alcoholic going on. Clear body that is very dark red. Beautiful, tan head. Excellent lace. Roasted malt flavor with a high alcohol profile and some Belgian qualities. Very nice, smooth, yummy finish. I am pleasantly surprised.

What color is dragons milk anyway? Well this is a very dark brown to black apperance. A very whiskey and mik chocolate aroma. Dont ever mix those in real life for the love of god. The flavor is caramel, sour grapes, chocolate, and whiskey. A nice malty ale and a good winna wamma!

Bottled at Bridgid’s in Philly. Good beer. Had a good creamy stout flavor to it. The oak was there. Not overpowering as in some other oaks I’ve tried.

A beer that simply looks powerful, with a very dark brown, almost black color, and light tan head. Aroma has some dark fruits among other things. Flavor is really quite good, bringing in some chocolate and coffee flavors. Has a somewhat creamy smoothness as well. Really a very nice brew.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma is vanilla, caramel, chocolate, bourbon, and dark fruit. Flavor is bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit, end dry. A bit more sweetness and body would make this killer.
