Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

On tap at the Oregon Brewer’s Festival. This was my other favorite! Decadent, chewy, bourban hint of flavor, and warm boozy finish!

22oz. bottle; Pours dark brown, pleasant vanilla aroma, tannish head with minor lacing.Aroma of chocolate, roasted nuts, cream and a bit of licorice. Creamy and full bodied flavor, a nice combination. Small amount of malt, great roasted flavor and a small touch of alcohol at the end. A great winter beer.

Pours with a huge rocky head that sticks forever. Smells great -- like a Belgian. Taste is something like a sour ale and an oatmeal stout mixed with a bit of vanilla. Oh yeah.

Dark, opaque color; pours with a nice head. Smoky, malt aroma; you really pick up the notes from the wood barreling giving it an almost bourbon-like quality to the nose. The flavor is complex, there is a sweetness to it along with vanilla, coffee, chocolate, fruit, and almost a liqueur quality. You can taste the alcohol on the finish, but it is not at all unpleasant. All around an excellent dark beer and probably the best thing New Holland Brewery produces.

Poured with a creamy, frothy, foamy, light tan head that lasts with lots of lace. Great roasty, malty, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, and the claimed whiskey aroma. Taste was similar but also a dairy cream taste and mouth feel along with distinct alcohol. Very pleasant finish. Just put on draft today at Bodega downtown La Crosse. They have bottles too.

This beer offers an aroma of creamy coffee and chocolate. It is a very dark brown that boasts a thick almond head that dissolves leaving a substantial amount of lacing in its wake. This moderately thick solution fills the mouth with a sweet cocoa taste that has coffee and nut highlights. This beer fades slowly and smoothly leaving a mildly bitter coffee taste lingering.
