Red amber color in the snifter with an off-white oil slick for a head. The nose has hints of oak and alcohol that reminded me of my Mom’s Aquanet hairspray. Surprisingly easy to drink for the ABV. Vanilla, oak and dark fruit flavors all combine for a great flavor. I hope to see more of this beer. Very enjoyable big beer. Rockinout (946), Kent, Ohio, USA

My wife says that this is probably something like Indiana Jones was drinking at the bar in one of those movies. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Faint aroma, although it is clear there is something alcoholic going on. Clear body that is very dark red. Beautiful, tan head. Excellent lace. Roasted malt flavor with a high alcohol profile and some Belgian qualities. Very nice, smooth, yummy finish. I am pleasantly surprised. hayduke (1677), Eureka, California, USA
