| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Black, small cream head. Carmel, cognac, and malt, lots of malt aroma. Creamy, creamy, with just a great malted flavor. Some chocolate, some caramel and vanilla. It does have an odd bit of a metallic, maybe even blood flavor. I wonder if that was intentional? Overall, reminds me of eating a caramel sucker when I was a kid, and then with enough bitter and warmth to remind me I am an adult. Butters (1653), Virginia, USA
