Commercial Description:
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

bottle. Pours an extremely dark plum with a tan head. Swirling the snifter leaves a film which takes several minutes to recede. The aroma is very vinous. It’s strong of raisins, cinnamon, a bit of oak, predominantely a semi-sweet wine aroma. This is very interesting. It has a remarkable likeness to red wine but mixed with some more beery notes like chocolate and fresh barley. The finish is semi dry. I personally haven’t tasted anything like this before. I could certainly imagine drinking this winter warmer in colder weather than the intense 90+ degrees TN summer.

Bottle. Pours a deep brown color, almost black. Huge highly bubbly tan head. that lingers for awhile. Lacing is nice. Arooma is somewhat sweet with notes of citrus, bananas, and light oak. Flavor is very sweet with a souring finish. Notes of corriander, lime, light chocolate, and a bit of oak on the tail of the finish. Body is thin and bubbly. Very unique beer. Quite tastey.

MI BG Winter Fest. Pours a dark, cloudy mahogony color with a thin tan colored head. Aroma is caramel, oak, sweet malts. Flavor of Leather, oak, tobacco, caramel, and mild bourbon. Palate is silky smooth, medium-full bodied, mildly carbonated, sweet finish. Really good stuff from a place I’m continually disappointed in.

Aroma is bread, roasted coffee, chocolate. The head is creamy, light brown, mostly diminishing with good lacing. The color is dark dark brown with a reddish hue. The initial flavor is a little sour, a little bitter, then comes chocolate, roasted caramel coffee.

Swiped from WBF. Pours a dark brown with some ruby notes. The head is pretty nonexistent, thin light tan. The aroma is sweet, shows some caramel, bourbon, and smoky notes. The flavor is very rich, shows alcohol, caramel, bourbon, smoke. The palate is of a pretty average consistency, dry, and has low carbonation. Overall a fairly rich and enjoyable brew.
