Commercial Description:
Consider it an extremely hoppy barleywine, or a really big IPA. Either way, ten hop additions contribute to its lush and intriguing body. Aggressive dry-hopping brings a strong citrus character to the aroma. The flavor and smell of orange-blossoms pervade throughout the experience.
Ingredience:Water,Barley(200 pounds per barrel of American-grown malted barley),Hops(10 hop-strikes,totaling 17 ounces per barrel of American-grown hops) and yeast(it is what it is).

22ozer from Capones in PA...Vermillion hue with small creamy white lasting head, excellent lacing, mix of syrupy and sweet orange hoppy smell, light carbonation with small bubbles, syrupy thick texture, orangy tang, sweet initial and light fragrent finish, great mix of medium hopped ipa and barley wine. Not truly either style. Strong, flavorful, not too complex, nice mix.

Pours a lightly hazy ruby/orange/amber with a medium bubbly/creamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of orange, caramel, toffee, nuts, some dark fruits, touch of vanilla and piney. Flavors of lots of caramel malt...sweet but balanced with a nice hop bitterness, pine, grapefruit and again more of the orange that I was picking up in the aroma.

Bottle @ TimE’s House: Copper color, nice white thick head and clean sheets of lacing. The nose is full of pine and grapefruit, some sweet chewy dough malts and a balanced bright alcohol and citrus hop phenolic note. The flavor is sweet and chewy, lots of malt body and tons of hop flavor, impressive dry-hops and a very under bittered hop. The finish is chewy, lots of warm feeling. Sweet and hoppy, full bouquet of malts and hops, splashing over the side of the palate. Lovely.

Copper, with a heavy malt/alcohol aroma, that is strong with resinous hops. Huge head that lasts. Potent and heavy. Too much alcohol in the finish for me.

Poured from a 22oz bomber and served in a snifter. This barley wine poured a clear, dark amber color with a decent sized beige head that quickly faded into a thin layer of foam. Some nice lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer included grapefruit, caramel, and more citrus notes. Very, very hoppy aroma for a barley wine, leaning towards DIPA territory. The flavor starts out with a good dose of citrus bitterness, but then quickly gives way to a strong malt backbone. The commercial description was spot on: Is it a barley wine or a really big IPA?...The mouthfeel was full-bodied and resiny with light carbonation. Anyway you look at it, this was a really enjoyable brew.

pours a caramel color with a one finger stiff off white head. aroma is caramel malt with a touch of hops and candy sugar. has a full body with good lacing and a touch of carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but with a bit more hops coming out with pine and grapefruit. not bad of a barley wine not the best but not bad. has a dry hop aftertaste and is a little flat on the palate. the hops show more at the end and the aftertaste and it is a bit sticky on the lips.

Clear orange with a small head. Aroma has the makings of an IPA, but stronger. Sweet malts, over a pine and citrus backbone, with some floral notes. Chewy body. Flavor of pine hops, grapefruit, citrus, malts, and kinda sweet. The alcohol is fairly well hidden. A good one.
