Good balance on this dark pour. Strong Malty earthtones to this hopwine. Strong alcohol afterburn, but paired well with the spicy chicken enchilada dip served on premises. The hop bitterness was not overdone.

Sep 27, 2009 Bomber, had for almost a year. Poured a dark amber forming a small white head of foam. Fruity aroma almost sherry like, with light fruits like pears and apples. Flavours of dark fruits, raisins, and malts come through. I would have pegged this as an aged Imperial IPA, but the malts are heavy which in the end comes out barley wine style. Decent beer, I suppose.

On tap at New Holland Brewing Company. Appearance is golden brown. The aromas are very sweet with hops and caramel malts. Flavors are caramel malts, candy sugar, with nice hop tones without much bitterness.

Sep 11, 2009 Dan’s Bachelor Party Extended Weekend Rating #68 of 90. On tap at New Holland in Holland, MI. Pours clear golden orange. Wonderful toffee caramel nose. Sweet hop load with a very nice taste. Definitely a different DIPA style than I’m used to, but this was very much worth trying.

Sep 9, 2009 Growler thanks to Kevin. Pours a slightly cloudy dark amber. Slightly flat (can happen with growlers). Nose is nice with big citrus I think Centennial is definitely there. Flavor wise there is some modest bitterness up front but caramel dominates with a suprisingly thin body. Not really all that bitter. Quite sweet. Hop flavor isn’t really there either. This one needs some work but the potential is there.

Aug 29, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized light yellow brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy softly carbonated light brown colored body and a very good lacing. The aroma was butterey and malty. The malt hop mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a biting vinous hop aftertaste. The thick flavor contained notes ofthick biting hops. Yummy! Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Aug 27, 2009 Updated: Aug 30, 2009Bottle, 22cl. It pours a hazy, orange-golden body under a small, off-white head. Vinous, sweetish nose with alcohol, resiny hops, dried fruits and caramel. Vinous and resiny flavor with alcohol, sweetness, caramel and a delightful bitterness. Full-bodied, warm and quite low on co2. Bitter and warming finish. A lovely blend of hops and malts. 090619

Aug 16, 2009 Bottle. Golden- orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is alcohol, hazel nuts. flavour is alcohol, hop, hazel nuts, malt. Too much alcohol in the flavour.
