Pours light copper/hazy gold with a slight chill haze. A stretch-pour allowed two inches of pure white foam to rise up.
Retention duration was of several minutes, and a few streaks of lacework remained as well as coverage on most of the surface.
Aromatics laced with light malt, flaked corn, honey, and a light floralness.
Sweetish and mildly earthy.
Medium to light bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel and slightly crisp.
Fresh, sweet malt on the pallet, along with hints of toasted corn and cereal grains.
Hopping is low, but bitterness is firm and smooth.
Finishes quite dry with fading light malt.
I’m not a big fan of the style, and this beer doesn’t change that. Pretty mediocre.

Paired with a nice cheese, this beer was extremely bready, fresh Saaz hops are spicy but not over powering. The bready body was really nice. Clean golden body with a nice white head. Great mouthfeel. Creamy and bready. This was stupendous and apparently nobody ever drinks it fresh because it was fantastic! Ughsmash and DavidP were in my company and agreed. nuplastikk (1214), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Very smooth and balanced Kolsch-style beer. Malty, but not thick, with a crisp, earthy hoppiness not unlike an APA. Easy drinking, tasty stuff. Great session beer. nimbleprop (929), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2008 12oz bottle pours a slightly hazy, straw, yellow with a thin, slightly creamy white head that faded fast. Aroma has some lemons, grass, hay, and a little bit of perfume. Flavor is fairly mild, definitely some grain, grass, and hay. Crisp finish. Standard lager. drewbeerme (2305), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 1, 2008 Pours a clear light golden with some bubbles and a thin airy white froth. Smells kinda earthy, some honey, and German Hops. Flavor is mellow, some skunk, metallic German hops, the malts are kinda plasticy which is odd for a lager. Very dry finish. Its ok at best. Very fine glassy carbonation, medium body. radagast83 (1315), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

The aroma is full of spices, grains. The flavor is extremely spicy, lemon, grass, malts. The spices almost completely overpower the rest of the beverage, which is a shame.
