Flavor is straight forward mildly sweet malt. Hops are light and floral. Light bodied, a bit fizzy on the palate. Similar to a pilsner, but with the hint of grain of a Kolsch. Overall a solid summer sipper. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 17, 2008 THOUGHTS: Kölsch beers aren’t a favorite of mine. I can tell this is well made. It’s just not really my glass of beer. But it did go down easy. The flavor was the best part of this beer and isn’t that what really matters.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured an ever so slightly hazy, light yellow with a small to average, sudsy, white head that mostly diminished and left virtually no head. The aroma was light to moderate bread, hay and toast, light to moderate flowery and grassy hops and very light dough yeast. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and acidic; lightly bitter and slightly sour; while the finish was lightly sweet and acidic, and slightly sour with a short duration. There was sugary malt, toast, some grassy and flowery hops, earthiness and some lemony citrus. The light body was a little astringent with soft carbonation and a light metallic and slightly dry finish. tronraner (1918), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours brilliant golden yellow with a few small floaties and a small, but tight, white head. The aroma is light and bready, with a little bit of honey and a noticeable Saaz quality. The flavor is crisp and hoppy at first, with an earthy and grassy bitterness. A honeyish sweetness comes in after to balance it out. The finish is nice and dry, and leaves an earthy, slightly toasty, aftertaste. Simple, crisp, and tasty.
