Commercial Description:
As the story goes, the charm of the Cap hails an otherwise mischievous band of winged-monkeys to carry out any three commands its owner wishes, such as carrying you from vast scarlet poppy fields to Emerald City, or even to the comfort of a country farmhouse. Golden Cap Saison however, brings the comfort to you with its modern interpretation of a traditional farmhouse ale. A soft, pale beer, Golden Cap accentuates the flavors and aromas of summer fields. Brewed with an ancestor to wheat called spelt, and bottle-conditioned; it's straw-colored body accentuated with lively carbonation and unique fermentation profile evoke fresh cut hay and cracked peppercorns. Ep-pe, pep-pe, kak-ke! Hil-lo, hol-lo, hel-lo! Ziz-zy, zuz-zy, zik!

Bottle - Huge white head. Spicy aroma. Good lacing. Pours a dark cloudy honey color. Very much like a wheat beer. Slight taste of bananas. Very drinkable. Maybe the best I’ve tasted from this brewery. Definitely will try again.

Nice yeasty straw aroma. Flavor is medium sweet and tastes like yeasty multi-grain bread. Pretty nice.

Bottle. Grainy wit yeast in the nose with a hint of lemon spritz. Light-colored, pale golden body with a sudsy beige head. Darkly grainy taste, overdriven wheat resolving to a bone-dry crackery finish and mildly metallic aftertaste. Sharp with a light tang, medium-fullish body, well-hidden alcohol with light and lasting bitterness. Pleasantly effervescent, with breezy, mild pepper and spice, lemony hops, and fresh hay that hangs in the still air.

Pours clear gold with a bubbly white head. Aroma is lemon, vinegar, and funky yeast. Taste is also acidic with grassy notes. Thin body with a lemony sour finish.

Courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours deep gold with a touch of haze and thin white head. The aroma is spices, wheat, a bit of bubble gum, grains and a thin layer of lemon. The taste has lots going on from lemon like acidity to sweet honey to spices and wheat and then followed up by grains and a sprinkling of yum. I really like this.

Good, but a little too weak. Can’t believe this is 7%. Very light flavor all around, but mild cloves, lemons, and some bananas present similar to a weak witbier. The backbone of the beer is its wheat and yeast flavors. Slightly dry, pepper aftertaste. Very drinkable.

On tap in a tulip, really nice-looking beer with a thick creamy white head and lovely hazy straw color. Terrifically drinkable, slightly sweet and spicy. I agree with other reviews that mention this is quite wit-like and very refreshing.

smells a bit clovey tastes of pepper, slight banana, slight sour. nice feel (a little creamy at the end, refreshing, but suprisingly full flavored for such a light beer. Pretty dry when cold, but more sweet as it warms up. good. aftertaste is musty. Could drink a few of these
