| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Bottle shared with the guys at the Inglorious Emergency Tasting. Light golden with crystal clarity and a decent white ring of head. Bready aroma, with lemon zest, and small alcohol hints that come out as a nice warming in the flavor. Sweet clean, nonfunky, saison. Good for style. Barrios (861), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Pours a fading, white head with a pure golden body. Smells of grapefruit and funk. Flavor is dough, lemon, earthy yeast. nuplastikk (1224), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2009 12oz bottle. Hazy yellow-tan color with a minimal, patchy, oily head. Sugary sweet aroma with a touch of herbs. The taste is sugary sweet malt with some tangy undertones. Slight peppery finish. A little closer to Belgian Saisons than some of the wacky-ass examples I’ve had this summer, but still lacks the subtle depth of the authentic stuff. Pretty decent beer nonetheless, with a broad spectrum of flavor. Crafty07 (393), Florence, Kentucky, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 24, 2009 Cloudy, fizzy light sweet ale from New Holland Brewery, this is one of the first saison ales Ive tried and, according the the classifcation from ratebeer, this is a good example of that style.
Aroma is sweet and spicy and the white fizzy carbonation and golden color clears up after pouring. The initial taste is over ripe and sour..but it finished dry and smoother than it’s begining...but it’s not my cup of tea...I couldn’t drink more than one. but an interesting experinace. demdeac40 (242), Etowah, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden color with a nice white head and good carbonation. The nose is nice. Wheat, light fruit and a nice hint of white pepper. Nice and earthy. Flavor is different but nice. Definite wheat and hay but a very strong taste of pepper with nice backbone of bread dough. Interesting beer. roder60 (1030), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2009 Pours clear gold with a small amount of fizzy white head. Aroma is hayish, sweet grains, and a tad bit of flowers. Flavor is doughy with some lemony tartness and a dry bitter finish. Overall enjoyable. phaleslu (557), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 18, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Fries Cafe in Cincinnati. Pours golden yellow with small off-white head. Aroma of wheat, mild fruit and citrus, hay, and bread. Flavors were largely the same, also with lemongrass and yeast. Medium body and carbonation and very smooth and easy to drink. Doesn’t leave much behind. Alcohol is hidden. Good warm weather beer.
