This is definitely on the hoppier end of the pumpkin ales, not heavily spiced, with a little nutmeg present. Did not get the cinnamon. Finishes with a spicy hop, and nutmeg in the back of the throat. Doesn’t really make my list of favorites, but overall ’’not bad’’. lumberjack (178), Michigan, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Sixer...Light transparent copper color with very little head, though it does stick around and laces some. Aroma is unknown spices and noble hops. Flavor is of bittering hops, pumpkin, a fair amount of nutmeg, and a slight hint of cinnamon. No real malt character at all. Palate is a bit watery. Perfect amount of carbonation. This beer grew on me after the first one, and is a pretty tasty fall treat. Butters (1651), Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 20, 2008 Have to say that I don’t really care for this style too much. But even for this style, it’s not a great example. Pours a hazy goldent amber. Flavor is weak and watery. The Schlafly was much better. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 18, 2008 guest tap at flossmoor station. clear orange, nice white head, lots of lacing. node of spices, cloves cinnamon, hints of pumpkin. flavor is mild pumpkin, cloves and cinnamon, various unidentifiable (to me) spices. medium bodied, spicy, leaning to bitter, finish. too close to pumpkin pie in the flavor for me. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 18, 2008 On tap at Flossmoor Station and served in a shaker. This beer poured a dark golden with a one-finger thick head of off-white foam that left behind some spotty lace. The aroma was made up of pie spices, sweet malts, and some vegatables. The flavor was much the same. Very mild with some light sweetness from the malts and spices. The mouthfeel was light-bodied and had moderate carbonation. A decent enought beer, but there isn’t much to it as far as flavor goes. fiulijn (7420), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 18, 2008 Draught at Brickskeller, Washington DC Blond color, big head. It has a delicate aroma of cinnamon cookies. Smooth mouthfeel, with a quite evident cookie and cinnamon flavor. I don’t understand where the pumpkin is, and I just reject the concept of Halloween beers. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Had this on tap. Aroma was quite weak, some spice and yeasty sweetness. Taste was quite light, light grain in the middle followed by spice and pumpkin on the finish. Certainly not hard to drink, but it’s a little watered down. I think I fault the base beer here more than the pumpkin flavor. Probably not my favorite style, worth a shot if you like pumpkin beers. 502Flavors (629), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 16, 2008 12 oz bottle into shaker. Hazy honey brown with creamy off-white head that has a bit of orange tint to it. Nice lacing. Smells good - pumpkin, spice, cinnamon, dough, and a bit of pale malt backbone. Flavor is the same. Very refreshing light pumpkin spice flavor, and not over-spiced like some other pumpkin brews. Medium to lite body, medium carbonation. Overall: solid pumpkin, great fall session brew with a friendly abv.
