| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2008 Bottle. Poured a gold/orange color with a two finger white head. Aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg. Flavor of pumpkin and spices, but a wierd hop flavor that does not compliment the rest of the beer. Would be a great pumpkin if not for that. jefcon (999), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 14, 2008 Pretty good-looking out of the bottle, with a dusky gold color and a white head. Aromas are thin and predictable of pumpkin and spice. Mellow pumpkin flavor and a vegetal hop flavor that isn’t very complementary to the spice of the beer. Pumpkin and nutmeg on the finish. noncaloric (612), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Summary: Spicy, earthy, musty, dry ... somehow makes papery not a flaw. Aroma: Pumpkin pie spices, mostly nutmeg. Appearance: Clear, orange-amber liquid. A thin white head leaves only temporary lace. Flavor: Spice, especially nutmeg, combines with earthy, musty elements from the pumpkin and a carbonic yeastiness to give a remarkable consistent flavor profile through each sip. The nutmeg lingers, coupled with a citrus tang. Palate: Dry, almost papery, but here the sensation becomes part of the spicy-earthy-musty sensation and seems a natural part of the beer. mtjoseph (36), Murderapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2008 Bottle. A golden orange pour with very minimal head. Aroma consisting mainly of spices. Flavor consisting of spices and pumpkin, but not too sweet. For a pumpkin ale, I enjoyed how pumpkin was not at the forefront for this beer. The spices really did an excellent job masking the pumpkin so it wasn’t too intense, but was still present. Definitely more of a drinkable pumpkin ale compared to most. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2008 Draft at Brickskeller. Clear orange-gold with a half-inch lasting head. Aroma is pie spice: cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Flavor is similar, plus maybe some pumpkin. A tad too much spice. Light-medium body is a bit tingly and dry. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Pours a dark reddish brown in color. About an inch of head forms on the pour, but is gone quickly. Smell is very malty with subtle spice. Taste is more of the malts with a hint of pumpkin in the finish. Easy drinking and decent. dkachur (2366), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville. Clear pale amber color with a one finger head. Pumpkin is strong in the aroma as are the spices. The pumpkin lends a very nutty flavor to the beer, and the spices are there still fairly strongly. Medium bodied and quite interesting.
