Flavor consisting of spices and pumpkin, but not too sweet. For a pumpkin ale, I enjoyed how pumpkin was not at the forefront for this beer. The spices really did an excellent job masking the pumpkin so it wasn’t too intense, but was still present. Definitely more of a drinkable pumpkin ale compared to most. nearbeer (1880), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2008 Draft at Brickskeller. Clear orange-gold with a half-inch lasting head. Aroma is pie spice: cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Flavor is similar, plus maybe some pumpkin. A tad too much spice. Light-medium body is a bit tingly and dry. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Pours a dark reddish brown in color. About an inch of head forms on the pour, but is gone quickly. Smell is very malty with subtle spice. Taste is more of the malts with a hint of pumpkin in the finish. Easy drinking and decent. dkachur (2430), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville. Clear pale amber color with a one finger head. Pumpkin is strong in the aroma as are the spices. The pumpkin lends a very nutty flavor to the beer, and the spices are there still fairly strongly. Medium bodied and quite interesting. zappafan99 (463), South Carolina, USA

Taste: Creamy and yeasty with winter spices. Tastes less like pumpkin/pump pie and more like the spices associated with it. TheBeerGod (3173), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 1, 2008 Bottle. Slightly hazed orange. Aroma is strong spices (nutmeg, touch of clove, cinnamon) and pumpkin. Taste echoes the aroma but has a bit more bitterness to it. Lots of nutmeg, cinnamon and some clove along with pumpkins and pumpkin pie mix. Soft caramel and light malts come through as well. Body is medium with a strong, fizzy carbonation. There’s more lingering spice and some bitterness left on the palate. The finish is more cinnamon and nutmeg, pumpkin pie mix, and pumpkin. Dried malts come through here as well as clove and a touch of toffee. Good pumpkin beer but not quite as delicious as Pumking. 1010 (213), Marysville, Ohio, USA
