Not anything special. mikerevello (1), USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 3, 2005 The pumpkin aroma is stong and is complimented by the cinnamon, all-spice and nutmeg. The color is a copper/orange, and there is a definite hoppiness to it. The taste reminds me of pumpkin pie, where the pumpkin is there but not too prominent. There is a long, bitter finish with a hint of spices. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 3, 2005 Thanks to JTW for this sample. Pours copper with a thin white head. Aromas of spices immediately pop out with some underlying pumpkin. Taste is nice and hoppy with some citrus notes and a touch of spice, but lacking in pumpkin flavor. Good for an IPA maybe, but not for a pumpkin ale. ehhdayton (1115), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 2, 2005 The aroma is of pumpkin and ginger and continuously persistent. The color is a cloudy golden with an off white head. A strong taste of pumpkin, ginger, and other spices is present and the aftertaste is pleasent. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2005 This draft brew from the brewery poured a foamy head of finely sized mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a softly carbonated transparent yellow-orange colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was mild with pumpkin notes. The mouth feel was initially tingly and a fizzy lingering finish. Its mild pumpkin flavor was not overly done like some I have had. lethe (168), Stony Brook by way of Cincinnati, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Aroma is strongly of allspice followed by pumpkin. Flavor is full-on pumpkin and much weaker on the attending spices. As a pumpkin brew it certainly achieves what was set out for, but the pungent flavor makes it hard to enjoy. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Pours dark clear amber with small head. Nutmeg dominates this brew, with the pumpkin taking a backseat. Too bad for the nutmeg overkill as this brew seemed to have potential. beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 29, 2005 Bottle, clear coppery slightly gold pour. Subtle but very present and not overwhelming pumpkin and spice (cinnamon and allspice) aroma. Light caramel malty flavors with subtle pumpkin and present but not overwhelming pumpkin spice flavors. Finishes a little earthy and a bit bitter. Decent pumpkin beer I felt. I like the fact that the spices are not overkill on this one. Other pumpkin beers seem to go overboard on the clovy spices, and this one seems more balanced and in-check.
