Has a very light smell to it, with a good mild pumpkin taste and a great pumpkin aftertaste. Coats the mouth well. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2005 Thanks to BBB63 for this. Pours slight hazy copper/dark straw (not full copper). Aroma of pumpkin, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), malt...nice pumpkin pie aroma. Tastes malty, pumkpiny, with solid pumkpin spice element and some finishing breadiness. A very good pumkpin ale. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 16, 2005 12 oz bottle. Hazy/cloudy light pumpkin color with a smallish weak touch of head...light, pungent vegetal nose, perhaps a bit of carrot alongside the orange squash and some thyme and pepper...dry, fairly bitter body, cooked squash and burnt wood...lingering bitterness at the end with a touch of lactic sourness. OK. r464 (285), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2005 A nice amber color, though the head fizzles quickly. Mild spice and pumpkin aroma. I’ve had quite a few pumpkin ales, and this is one of the better ones. Not overpowering in either the veggie or spice flavors. A nice fall or winter sipper. Frank (1066), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 13, 2005 Surprisingly golden orange, small head and quite a lot of haze. Nose is mild and spicy--ginger and clove are the main players. The spice is much more pronounced in the flavor. Medium bodied with spunky carbonation that leads to the perception of dryness. One of the more reserved and better pumpkin ales. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 8, 2005 This brewer has some great labels...and some pretty good beers to boot. This is an average pumpkin ale. Not too much pumpkin flavor to make it unbearable (like some aother pumpkin ales that I’ve tried). Decent to slightly above decent, overall. thetrifecta (29), Bell’s country, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 6, 2005 I live in Holland for part of the year and this beer is what everyone drinks in the fall. It’s not a particularly amazing beer when compared with some of the other pumpkin-spice beers, but still one of my favorite session beers for fall. Not overpowering in regards to any of the pumpkin pie tastes, just enough to taste like fall in a glass. brewblackhole (1374), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 4, 2005 Maybe I had an old bottle, but the aroma I had was simply malt, no spice or pumpkin, taste pretty much the same,fairly thin body,if I didn’t have the bottle right in front of me , I wold have sworn someone poured me a lager
