Nose is mild and spicy--ginger and clove are the main players. The spice is much more pronounced in the flavor. Medium bodied with spunky carbonation that leads to the perception of dryness. One of the more reserved and better pumpkin ales. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 8, 2005 This brewer has some great labels...and some pretty good beers to boot. This is an average pumpkin ale. Not too much pumpkin flavor to make it unbearable (like some aother pumpkin ales that I’ve tried). Decent to slightly above decent, overall. thetrifecta (29), Bell’s country, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 6, 2005 I live in Holland for part of the year and this beer is what everyone drinks in the fall. It’s not a particularly amazing beer when compared with some of the other pumpkin-spice beers, but still one of my favorite session beers for fall. Not overpowering in regards to any of the pumpkin pie tastes, just enough to taste like fall in a glass. brewblackhole (1385), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 23, 2004 Pours a mirky orangish-gold, with the top half of the beer being more hazy and darker than the bottom of the beer. Small whitish head with small swirls throughout and some bubbles at the edge of one region. Good "legs" on the side of the glass after each sip. Smells of (yep) pumpkin and heavy bittering agents, almost like a bitter pale ale. Tastes like a bitter pumpkin and is very light - almost like a soft, sugary pumpkin pie but watered down. Very fizzy, almost sour. Finish is very clean and maintains a more clean pumpkin aftertaste that lingers for several minutes. This beer would get close to being a decent attempt in most areas, but in every instance, it fell short of being satisfying. AlabastorJones (769), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 19, 2004 Looks like iced tea, slightly fogged, thin white head with a little lacing, spicy aroma rich with cinnamon and nutmeg, hints at a bold flavor, which just isn’t there, it tastes like a bland wheat beer with a spicy hint of something, watery palate, not too impressed by this one egajdzis (3638), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 18, 2004 Poured a lightly hazy, copper color with a small, white head and left light lacing on the glass. Sweet lightly spiced malt, dominate earthy pumpkin aroma. Nutmeg, light brown sugar, very light pumpkin, funky tasting, sweet malts. A rather bland spiced ale. brentfeesh (1039), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 18, 2004 Cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin ontop of a lite malt aroma. Golden with brown hints, minimal off white head. Interesting combination of tastes. Cooked pumpkin inside of toasted malt flavors with a bit of hop to dry it all out. Some chalkiness at the end and the mouth feel is not that pleasing to me. Some spice also - nutmeg and strong clove.
