| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2009 Hazy coppery pour from a 12oz bottle. Moderate off white head, aroma is dominated by spice – nutmeg and cinnamon, maybe clove. Flavor is dominated with spice – a hint of malt at the start with nutmeg dominating a relatively dry finish. I’m not a big fan of the style and to my taste the spice is just a tad overdone here. However, this is one of the few pumpkin ales I’ve tried that has a crisp and refreshing flavor. I usually find them to be too heavy, sweet, and fruity. This one is actually lively and refreshing. Not at all bad. jbuzz (661), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Very nice flavor with all the major players shining through, cinnamon, nutmeg, and of coarse pumpkin. Not many of it’s kind can beat this beer.
