Crisp, full on spice. Not as malty or full bodied as some pumpkin ales, and with this one, it works out quite nicely. Smooth, balanced, and drinkable. Lasting pumpkin pie spice aftertaste. Above par, but a notch below the top-tier of it’s completely deserved subcategory peers. shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 15, 2009 As a general rule of thumb, I’m not overly fond of pumpkin brews, but this is an interesting ale. The nose is dominated by pumpkin and nutmeg, with those flavors flowing joyfully along the palate, alongside caramel and honey, with a pleasant new grass hop flavor coming through at the very end. wmubronco1992 (180), Coldwater, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Bottle. Small white head. Very light amber color. Decent lacing. Very nice spice aroma. Unfortunately that was the highlight. Had two bottles, neither was memorable. Probably giving this the benefit of the doubt by rating it this highly. Had a yeasty taste and an unpleasant aftertaste. Others have told me they love this beer, so I will try again, maybe I just got a bad batch. Hophead22 (1090), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2008 Hazy coppery orange pour. The nose is pumpkin pie spiciness...ginger, cloves and nutmeg. Flavor has a modicum of pumpkin, but more of the pie spices as mentioned before. Pretty decent version, and not overblown. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a golden orange with a small white head that has good retention and lacing. Aroma is of ginger and spice and everything nice...sorry. Seriously, very nice. Good strength, not too strong nut noticeable. Flavor is a little underwhelming. It has a good spice, ginger, pumpkin flavor but not as big as I hoped. It is also a little perfumey. The mouthfeel is a little on the thin side but not too bad. Overall, its good. Solid, just not the best I have had. Id drink it again.
