Scents include spices, pumpkin and ??? First taste was smooth and spicey but not over-bareing. Finish is also spice, nutmeg and cinnamon at the front. Eventually the palate turns to a slightly bitter flavour, after the cinnamon finally gets out! Had much better pumpkin ales before... LooseCannon (928), Norfolk, Virginia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 25, 2008 12 oz bottle pour. Very light orang color, with just the barest hint of pumpkin puree. Nice balanced flavor between the sweetness of the pumpkin and the hops. Definitely a subtler flavor than some other pumpkin beers. Nice clean, slightly spicy finish. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 23, 2008 Thanks Alan for sharing: Very light orange pour here with an aroma of a raw pumpkin, or the smell you get when you’re gutting a pumpkin. This is definitely on the hoppier end of the pumpkin ales, not heavily spiced, with a little nutmeg present. Did not get the cinnamon. Finishes with a spicy hop, and nutmeg in the back of the throat. Doesn’t really make my list of favorites, but overall ’’not bad’’. lumberjack (178), Michigan, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Sixer...Light transparent copper color with very little head, though it does stick around and laces some. Aroma is unknown spices and noble hops. Flavor is of bittering hops, pumpkin, a fair amount of nutmeg, and a slight hint of cinnamon. No real malt character at all. Palate is a bit watery. Perfect amount of carbonation. This beer grew on me after the first one, and is a pretty tasty fall treat. Butters (1652), Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 20, 2008 Have to say that I don’t really care for this style too much. But even for this style, it’s not a great example. Pours a hazy goldent amber. Flavor is weak and watery. The Schlafly was much better.
