| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 28, 2009 On tap at Lunar Brewing, snifter served. Poured a dark black/brown, with a tan, foamy head and good, clingy lacing. The nose was roasty with a nice combo of initial sweetness to dryness, brought on by dark coffee, and a touch of baker’s chocolate. With these, the flavor added a little tobacco, and notes of molasses and caramel. The mouthful and what I got on my hands were a little sticky, but the body was full and the finish had a nice bitterness that had built up from the flavor. Oakes (8142), Kowloon, Hong Kong
