| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 23, 2008 bottle. Aroma is cream, chocolate, roasted coffee, malt, and a little port. Deep ruby/black hue with a smaller than average sized creamy tan head that mostly diminishes and leaves little lace. Flavor is cream, chocolate, roasted coffee malts and port. Kind of bitter on the finish. Palate is very thick and full bodied. Oily flat. Some alcohol burn. A surprisingly good Imp Stout that is as decadent as they come. Very Impressive and really under-rated for some reason. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Pours an oily opaque with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet, rich, dark roasty caramel, chocolate dark fruits and a touch of earthy aroma hops. Body starts full, rich and dark caramely malty sweet with some good bittersweet grapefruity bittering notes before an earthy dark chocolatey finish. Nicely balanced and fairly complex before a drier, lingering chocolatey finish. A nice imperial stout. shp555 (1693), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Wooooooh, black as used harley oil. Has a foamy choco mousse head. that fades after a few minutes to a tea froth. Roasty chocolaty aroma that comes across rather attractive and inviting. However, first taste yanks you back to rude imperial stout reality. A just plain illiterate stout at best. Hints of bitter chocolate in the flavors, lets chew on old campfire coals. Finish is 40 miles of bad road. Biting terrible linger. perfect for this style.
