Not quite as black as I would like from an impy stout. Dark roasted malts, plum, smoke, licorice, vanilla, and a bit of nuttiness. Tasty imperial stout, just not dark and thick enough. Faily sweet with full body. Quite hoppy, so the salty licorice is complimented by a bit of fresh sparkling citric grapefruit. Salty coffee finish. Though sweet not as cloying as many Imperial stouts, nor is it inky - just fresh and tasty. ante (2965), Stockholm, Sweden
