(Sample Date: 8/22/2009 Source:Other) Big roast barley aroma with coffee, vanilla, and chocolate. Black with small tan head. Full creamy body and mouthfeel. Alcohol warming is apparent. Roasty with vanilla and chocolate in the flavor. Moderately bitter with a slight roast astringency.

Thanks too guerinfbfan for the 22 oz bottle! Dark brown pour., light tan head. Not quite as black as I would like from an impy stout. Dark roasted malts, plum, smoke, licorice, vanilla, and a bit of nuttiness. Tasty imperial stout, just not dark and thick enough.

Dan’s Bachelor Party Extended Weekend Rating #66 of 90. On tap at New Holland in Holland, MI. Pours black with brown edge. Strong chocolate taste with some coffee poking through. Nice soft smooth mouthfeel. Good chocolate character. Excellent finish. Big time winner!

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Very blac, corase head. Salty licorice aroma. Faily sweet with full body. Quite hoppy, so the salty licorice is complimented by a bit of fresh sparkling citric grapefruit. Salty coffee finish. Though sweet not as cloying as many Imperial stouts, nor is it inky - just fresh and tasty.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Black with a small beige head. Straightforward and a bit simplistic aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa, almonds and vanilla. Full-bodied with notes of dark chocolate, grass, nuts, toasted malts and brown sugar. Long warming finish of nougat, grass and salt.

Pours black with no head. Malt coffee smell. Light chocolate and malt taste. A creamy smooth beer and the booze is well hidden. Not bad
