Commercial Description:
Night Tripper is an Imperial Stout brewed for a Fat Tuesday release. Dark, mysterious and poetic, Night Tripper's abundance of roasted malts, combined with flaked barley create a rich, roasty beer with deeply intense and lush flavors. Night Tripper's layered, nuanced tones invite intrigue and reward a curious palate.

Bomber. The body is perfectly black with a light orangeish tan head. The aroma is rich coffee and anise. There is also some sweet milk chocolate. The mouthfeel is very full and chewy. The taste is anise with some light vineous notes. There is also some baking chocolate that comes out as you drink. The finish is a little ashy with some woody notes coming through. After you drink more, you get some alcohol burn, but this is not too hot. Nicely made.

Courtesy of gillard bringing the goods yet again. Thanks man. Pours dark brown with amber edges and mocha head. The aroma is roasty malts becoming mildly coffee to go along with some burnt malts, chocolate and a bit of booze. Yum. Chewy, viscous, wow. A bit better tasting than it smells even. I get sweet malts and caramel that roll downhill toward roasty to burnt malts, some tasty vanilla and caramel. It gets very rich and dark chocolaty. Nice stuff.

This bottled brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a small sized head of foam with a frothy top of brown colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind an opaque black colored body with no visible carbonation. The aroma was of cocoa coffee hops dark malts and a mild vinous note. The mouth feel was mildly tingly from start to finish. The flavor contained notes of thick coffee dark malt and hops. It was very yummy. An excellent stout!
