Pours black withh a large light brown creamy head which sticks around leaving great lacing. Thhe aroma is of light roast with a hint of coffee. Taking a drink, the roasted malts are very strong followed by some heavy coffee. It is also slightly astringent, no hop flavor, light bitterness. The body wis medium with ha dry and watery texture and soft to lively carbonation.

The requisite nitro cascades. Perfectly ok for what it claims to be, the nitro in this case might have damped some of the flavors lampeno420 (321), Zeeland, Michigan, USA

Easy to drink, but I wouldn’t come back to it. Just some coffee and very malty. AlabastorJones (765), San Francisco, California, USA

5/19/2007: New Holland Nitro Stout is chocolate brown in color with a dense, creamy head. The beer is pretty dark, but it seems clear in spots. The aroma reminds me that of lacy baby Swiss cheese or cottage cheese. There is a suggestion of something dark and sweet there as well such as brown sugar and/or molasses. The flavor is milky with a deep caramel maltiness and a berry flavored fruitiness. This beer had a medium-full body and is ultra creamy in the mouth due the the nitrogen induced pour. Good, but somehow weird (especially the aroma).

Mild, lightly sweet and toasty aroma. Starts lightly sweet, thinning some toward a blander, smooth, mildly roasted finish. Drinkable, but not very exciting.
